Trust Company Superannuation Services Limited (TCSSL) provides a range of specalised super trustee services to assist super fund promoters, employers and super trustees in today's complex super environment.

Who is TCSSL?

TCSSL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trust. We hold both an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) and an unrestricted Registrable Superannuation Entity (RSE) license. Expertise

With regulatory requirements on the increase, an experienced and specialised super trustee is essential for keeping your fund compliant. Our team of experts have extensive knowledge of all statutory provisions, especially trustee obligations under the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act and related legislation.             

We act as trustee for over 60 super funds including corporate, master, wrap and Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) funds, polled superannuation trusts and eligible rollover funds. Our team undergoes continuous training to ensure they are up to date with current super legislation. 

Scale

Super trustees are required to have adequate financial, human and system resources at all times. These can include adequate net tangible asset (NTA) requirements, appropriate levels of professional indemnity insurance and holding AFSL and APRA RSE licences.

By using a specialised super trustee who acts for a number of funds, economies of scale are achieved which saves you time and reduces costs for your fund members.  Our scale has allowed us to develop excellent relationships with regulatory bodies such as APRA, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and various super service providers. 

Risk minimisation

As your super trustee, we take responsibility for drafting, executing and continuously monitoring and updating the Risk Management Strategy (RMS) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) for your fund. We are also responsible for statutory and financial audits of your fund and compliance with the RMS and RMP. By leaving these compliance requirements to a specialist trustee like TCSSL, you can focus on your core capabilities.

Independence

We offer an unbundled super trustee service. We do not provide other related services such as administration, super investment management, actuarial, legal or insurance services. This allows us to provide you with a wider choice of service providers, and achieve the best outcome for fund members. Acting as an independent trustee also means we can perform our duties without any conflicts of interest and act in the best interests of members at all times.
