Fund objective
The Infrastructure & Property Related Securities Common Fund V4 (‘the Fund’) provides exposure to a diverse range of listed infrastructure and property related securities and property trusts. The overall aim for the Fund is to combine a regular income stream with the potential for capital growth above the inflation rate. The S&P ASX200 Property Index performance should be viewed as a broad guide to the Fund’s relative performance, rather than its benchmark, as the Fund does not invest purely in stocks within that index.
Risk and return profile
The prices of the securities that the Fund invests in may fall as well as rise. These changes will be directly reflected in the price of units in this Fund. It is best to view an investment in the Fund over a three to five year investment horizon.
Investment style
The Fund is managed using a value-based investment style. The investment process involves a comparison of securities against the following criteria:
Present strategy
We continue to apply our long established approach of investing the Fund in a blend of high-yielding securities in mid-sized trusts together with selective positions in the major trusts along with holdings in infrastructure vehicles and developers. The latter have disappointed in the past, but we remain confident that over the longer term they will provide sound returns for the Fund.
