Rosslynd Piggott, Night - 24 hours/Tremor
Artistic Statement
Every hour for 24 hours the same area of sky was observed and recorded, awake and half - asleep , forming a tenuous time line across a falling and chaotic night sky. Memories of tremors past and those to come. Everyone of us lives with what is known and what is unknown, certain and less certain. This painting aims not to illustrate these ideas, but to emanate them, in stillness and vibration.
The Trust Company, as Trustee, and Maroondah City Council announced the names of the 30 finalists selected for this year’s R & M McGivern Art Prize.
